You will:

  • lead on the design of user-centred services, iterating based on feedback and evolving requirements
  • utilise data-driven insights to inform design decisions, ensuring services meet user needs and department objectives
  • work with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to shared vision, goals and objectives
  • communicate design concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels, influence-decision making through storytelling and evidence-based insights
  • support the implementation of service design strategies aligned to department and business area objectives
  • ensure products are accessible, designed inclusively and cater for the diverse needs of users

You’ll have

  • the ability to create design concepts and collaborate with other designers and developers to implement and continually refine services

  • the skills to map user journeys and contribute to the creation of service blueprints and maps

  • the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the department
  • the communication skills to clearly convey design ideas and concepts, adapting your approach to suit different audiences
  • the ability to use storytelling techniques to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • the knowledge to support long-term strategies and contribute to the development of the service design profession
  • the ability to explain and work with accessibility standards, ensuring that services meet or exceed them
  • the commitment to advocate for the diverse needs of users and collaborate with accessibility specialists to identify and address barriers in services
